West Coast Information Centres

Every person who works at a Visitor Information Centre is a local travel expert for their home town. So who better to ask for answers and help? There are several Visitor Information Centres on the West Coast that can help you find those special places, plan your West Coast holiday and even tell you where to find the best coffee (very important).

Information Centres can help with:

  • Itinerary planning and information
  • Bookings nationwide - accommodation, transport, activities, attractions
  • Free maps, weather & mountain safety information
  • Local information - events, attractions, restaurants & more!

Below is a list of West Coast Visitor Centres that can help book quality adventure activities, attractions, accommodation, transport and more. They go from north to south to help you find them.

Six of these centres are branded with an ‘i-SITE’ sign, which tells you that the centre is part of New Zealand’s official network of visitor information sites. Three are Department of Conservation (DOC) Visitor Information Centres, of which one is also an i-SITE, and the remaining 2 are locally operated Information Centres.
