Did you know?
The best time for the blowholes to perform at their best at Punakaiki Rocks is for the following to be at optimum.

At the peak of high tide, and an on-shore wind blowing the waves into shore. If both of those things are happening you should get a good show.

Chapel Hill B&B

Chapel Hill B&B is a country homestay 15 minutes south of Greymouth in beautiful Marsden Valley, New Zealand. It is bordered by rainforest, forest parks, and gold-bearing rivers. It has 25 acres of forest, fields and gardens to enjoy

The first chapel for early Marsden village was on this property and the house was built to reflect that with huge chapel doors, stained glass windows and beams. It was also built to catch the sun and amazing views of the rain forest which is so close you can lean out the window and touch it.

The small hill on the road passing the property is still named Chapel Hill to this day. It is an amazing coincidence that the first guests at Chapel Hill were an American couple (and their son) from Chapel Hill in North Carolina!

Chapel Hill has three guest bedrooms, all with heating, electric blankets, and clock radios and four guest bathrooms. Hair dryers are provided along with guest fridge, laundry and freshly made free tea and plunger coffee any time. There is a computer room with internet and free email, three guest sitting rooms and a digital TV room with a television set up for viewing digital camera shots.
