Our holiday homes and cedar hot tub are the perfect base for exploring the gorgeous West Coast of New Zealand. Self-catering and self-check-in, with beautiful sea views. Guests love our well-equipped kitchens, large comfortable beds, and secluded location. Walking access to the beach is 10 minutes, offsite along a newly reformed track.
Solo travelers, couples, and families can enjoy our quality refurbished holiday houses that are spacious, modern, warm and cosy and fully self-contained. Each house has kitchen facilities and large bathrooms with walk-in showers. Each house also has BBQ facilities and a covered deck and sea views. Free unlimited WiFi and Freeview.
Our one-bedroom holiday house is best suited for 2 people, but can accommodate four people, while our two-bedroom holiday house is suitable for up to 6 people – this unit is designed for accessibility.
After a day of exploring, tramping, hiking, or mountain biking, you are invited to relax and soak your tired muscles our cedar hot tub. We offer its use as part of the tariff. The hot tub is in a separate all-weather bush hut, in an insect-screened building. Located down a short track, the hot tub is positioned with a view to the sea. The skylights in the roof allow you to soak under the stars.
Take a walk in our beautiful landscaped grounds. Follow our tracks around the property through regenerating native bush full of native birdlife. You will see old gold workings and dredge ponds.
There is a flowing stream and raupo wetlands and a beautiful clear freshwater spring.
When you’re ready to turn in, we have two separate timber holiday homes on beautifully landscaped grounds. Both homes are positioned with stunning views of the Tasman Sea, where you can watch the famous sunset from your private deck, take in the native birdsong, and the relaxing sounds of the west coast surf.
If you are looking for an alternative to Punakaiki or Greymouth accommodation, Paparoa Beach Hideaway is located in Barrytown. The location makes it a great choice for your TranzAlpine Train Journey accommodation. Greymouth NZ train station is about a 30-minute drive from Barrytown.
