Franz Josef event highlights collective action for predator-free future.

Te Wāhipounamu ‘TED’ type talk drew a full house at the Franz Josef Alpine Cinema, showcasing an inspiring evening dedicated to collective efforts aimed at achieving a predator-free future and how this will positively influence biodiversity, tourism and business in South Westland.

Hosted by Department of Conservation, the event featured a series of talks from people managing landscape-scale projects across New Zealand. These discussions provided valuable insights and motivation for West Coast-based initatives.

The evening's speakers included Duncan Kay from Zero Invasive Predators, James Willcocks from Predator Free Wellington, Brent Barrett from Whaka Ora, Healthy Harbours, Zak Shaw from Development West Coast, and Colin O’Donnell from the Department of Conservation.
